The term Industrie 4.0 was first brought to the public domain in 2011 at the Hannover Messe. Since then, numerous associations, platforms and institutions have been working on the implementation of Industrie 4.0. We joined in these activities right from the start, supporting projects with our many years of experience from automation technology.

I norr finns mängder av industridistrikt med vardera hundratals småföretag som tillverkar samma produkter. Konkurrens och koncentration av kunskap gjorde flera av dessa distrikt världsledande i sina branscher under en tid men de möter idag ökad konkurrens från företag i låglöneländer som slår sig in på deras marknader. Industrie 4.0 promises to increase manufacturing productivity levels by up to 50 percent and likewise decreases the amount of resources required by half. Germany’s position as an embedded embedded systems technology leader gives birth to enabling cyber-physical system (CPS) technologies which ingeniously marry the digital virtual world with the real world.
